Hans & Alie Koning were born and raised in Emmen, the Netherlands. They married on the 21st of May 1970 and two weeks later immigrated to South Africa. This was their first step of faith (but would not be the last) for they had spent their last money on the wedding ceremony. No money, no parents, no family, (closest relative 400km away).

They arrived in Durban where Hans got a job with a flooring co. In that same year, they had their first child, a healthy baby girl, Monique. Soon realizing that he could do better as an entrepreneur, Hans started his own business the next year, and since then, he always had. They moved first to Pretoria where they had their second child, Francois. Later they got a contract in Port Elizabeth and moved to the city at the coast. Here Hans got born again on the 16th of December 1973 and three month later his wife also. In the next couple of years, they had another two boys; Marko and Patrick.

Out of their zeal for God they started a Christian bookshop, but later opened a carpet shop as well. After having three carpet shops in town Hans grew tired of this business and early 1980 he started his own building company.

Their business was flourishing until 1985 – 1986, when they experienced a downfall and lost their business and all their possessions. In 1987 the Lord restored their construction business and were successful again until in 1989 they were called to go back to Holland and start a ministry work there.

Back in Holland, tragedy struck and they lost their youngest child in a motor car accident. After this dramatic loss, they realized that God’s ways are higher than theirs. They started a new business again and later founded their first ministry work in 1992 in Emmen. As pioneers in the ministry, they founded their church, a publishing company, a Prophetic News bulletin, a School of Ministry, and they wrote several books.

After 5 years of breakthroughs and hardships in the ministry, they closed their church and received another assignment; go and preach the kingdom of God in the Marketplace and if you have to, use words. This was not easy, for the vision they received had nothing to do with what they perceived as “ministry” and had to be done outside the established church structures. After sharing their vision with people in Holland, they realized that God had not yet prepared the people of Holland for this, and decided to go back to South Africa until the time was right.

They went back to South Africa in June 2002 and stayed in Port Elizabeth. Their two sons and daughter joined them later. It was a difficult journey, for they had no cliché for what they had to do, but knew this was the way to go. After making some serious mistakes (stepping stones), they got going and are now property developers and are at present building townhouse schemes. After their last two projects, they thought they were ready to start their real vision; hotels. This vision is to build many hotels, holiday resorts and business centers with kingdom principles.

They reckon that the way the wealth of the sinner will come to the kingdom is through business profits and not always by pleading for money. If the church had put their kingly dominion in action, they would have been very wealthy today and be able to distribute to the poor and help the widowers and orphans. They say, “instead of “trying” to be spiritual, let’s act spiritual and use the kingdom principles for His purposes, and build structures for His glory and not only for use on certain days. Their message is to BE the Sons of God and subdue the earth after the principles of the Kingdom of God.
